What are the issues in our community that hold us back?
ASL is a language – how do we prove that?
Who was William C. Stokoe and where does he fit in?
What makes a good ally?
What are the challenges that Deaf people face with hearing allies?
How do we best understand and support each other?
Interpreters are not invisible. What we do makes a difference!
How do our decisions and behavior affect people?

Jax will lead discussion and share from his unique Deaf perspective and experience. We will walk through various scenarios together, examining our choices. We will do mental exercises to improve our skills. How do we join hands and make a difference in our community?

Cost: Free to Deaf participants
Time: 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Day: Each Thursday, from September 24 to November 22
(10-11 weeks of seminars)
